About La Mère Brazier

In 1933, Eugenie Brazier (1895-1977) became the first chef in France to earn three Michelin stars each for her two restaurants in Lyon, France. The next year, the celebrated gastronome and food critic known as Curnonsky declared Lyon to be the gastronomic capital of the world. Mentor and example to generations of chefs, La Mère Brazier formed many young apprentices who further made their mark on French Cuisine, including celebrated chefs Paul Bocuse and Bernard Pacaud.

The Program

France Chapter Dames and cooking instructors Lucy Vanel (Plum Lyon Teaching Kitchen, Lyon), Susan Herrmann Loomis (Dancing Tomatoes, Paris), and Rosa Jackson (Les Petits Farcis, Nice) will each present an iconic dish inspired by Eugénie Brazier from their respective kitchens in France:

Menu :

Œufs en Meurette

Poulet de Bresse à la Crème et Champignons des Bois

Fromages

Îles Flottantes

For the Wine: France Chapter Dame Tanisha Townsend (Girl Meets Glass, Paris), wine educator, will discuss wine pairings for each course, and suggest equally suitable wines from your local wine seller for this unforgettable meal.
